Top pick: #7 (NEWS SOURCE) - Chased a wire-to-wire winner last out before weakening late to finish third. Race was his first in 70 days and he should move forward enough to win this. Trainer Dan Conway adds blinkers for this attempt.
2nd pick: #4 (Raging Meese) - Half-brother to a useful runner on this circuit a couple of year's ago (Meeses to Pieces). Working steadily with several nice gate drills. Factors first time out.
3rd pick: #1 (Mel's Gold) - Longshot is working well, presumably with the blinkers off that he ran with in his latest race. Draws the rail, and he should be a very square price.
