2nd pick: #6 (Foggy Mountain Cat) (6-1) - Colt has shown little in two starts facing tougher. Trainer Rick Violette drops him way down (two for his last four) in class and is adding blinkers. If son of 'Bluegrass Cat' has any ability it will come out against this field.
3rd pick: #11 (No Tanx Blue Chip) (4-1) - Well bred colt is stretching out a bit in distance after finishing fifth of nine, beaten 5 1/2 lengths when debuting here going a mile Jan 1. He had a poor start and made up a lot of ground during the running. Underrated trainer (Mike Dilger) is cutting him back in distance. Win candidate.
4th pick: #4 (On to Trenton) (20-1) - He's the field's only debuting runner and he's from a successful barn (Jeremiah Englehart). Home bred has a steady work tab and need not be much to factor against these.
5th pick: #8 (Hangry) (5-1) - Colt drops back down after a poor effort here facing tougher Jan 2. He had finished second in his previous pair and should factor again in this spot.
