Top pick: #5 (SPANCILL HILL) - She must have her problems as she after a fine second-place finish in her debut last March racing in a maiden special she's been on the sidelines since. In a top barn (Richard Dutrow) and she returns in a claimer. Can win this with a late move.
2nd pick: #7 (Favorite Colors) - She gets some much needed class relief this afternoon as her trainer drops her into a claimer. She's been racing well against tougher and should be viewed today as an equal of the top pick as I almost put her on top.
3rd pick: #10 (Picnic Rock) - "Nibbler" has some stalking ability and has been competitive in five of her last half-dozen (6-0-2-3). Draws a nice post to track from and is a threat turning for home.
4th pick: #9 (Griffen Avenue) - Has some speed and she had a troubled trip here on Dec. 27 in her first back off a eight month layoff. She's drilled fast since and looks set for her best.
