Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #7 (MR CANADA) (7-2) - Speed/stalker is dropping in class and moves from grass to dirt. Gelding has been competitive in six straight overall and was beaten a 'neck' facing tougher the last time he ran on the dirt. In shape, working fine, and he gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #8 (Jacob's Here) (10-1) - Long shot has been freshened up since Nov 21. He rallied to break his maiden that afternoon going a one-turn mile on the main track here. Much improved since coming back from a seven week break in late summer/early fall and he's a threat at a square price.
3rd pick: #10 (Sourcesandmethods) (5-2) - Well bred 4-year-old is racing first off a Mike Miceli claim. Stretch runner rallied to finish second at this tag going a mile the day he switched barns. His post is of no help, but he's been competitive facing tougher in the past.
4th pick: #9 (Hushhushmushmush) (6-1) - He's clearly better on the turf, but has finished second in two of four starts on the dirt. Hot trainer (Rudy Rodriguez) drops him to a new low and has him working steadily locally. Five-year-old needs a fast and/or contested pace for anything more than a minor award.
