Top pick: #7 (TWO SONS) - Longshot's best two races came going around two-turns at the Meadowlands facing "open" maiden claimers. He tired in his latest at Laurel going a "flat" mile and can win this as he tackles fellow state-breds going around two-turns again.
2nd pick: #1 (Leatherhead) - Son of "Hook and Ladder" races in a claimer for the first time and has a nice drill at Belmont on New Year's Eve. Rider upgrade to Jara and he can contend in this at a square price.
3rd pick: #9 (Smooth Transition) - Heavily bet in his first pair (both on the grass) he had "ton" of trouble in his debut, then raced wide before flattening in his second start. Races off a 4 1/2 month break, drops into a claimer, and he'll race on the dirt this afternoon. He should do well in this spot.
