Top pick: #2 (WATERGATE) (7-2) - Freshened up since early October this son of "Any Given Saturday" has been bet in all four starts facing tougher. Training nicely for his return, he's a first time gelding and is also racing with Lasix administered. Spotted to win by a good barn (George Weaver).
2nd pick: #1 (Ghost Ship) (3-1) - Fine debut on Dec. 13 saw him race close up through-out and hold well to check in 4th of 10, beaten 3 1/2 lengths. He's worked since, moves to the rail, and stays at the same level and distance.
3rd pick: #7 (Yourthekingjimmy) (4-1) - Son of "Not For Love" debuts for a capable first out barn (Dom Schettino 17%). Colt has some sharp works showing including a huge half-mile bullet breeze on Dec. 27 at Belmont (best of 104 at the distance that morning). The presence of Irad Ortiz Jr. suggests they like his chances.
4th pick: #4 (Copernicus) (30-1) - Big longshot has faced tougher in all three starts. In his first pair he had trouble at the break and last out had a very wide trip. Drops, has blinkers added, and think he'll be competitive at a large price.
