Top pick: #2 (STOLEN VICTORY) (3-1) - She enters off a career best when she rallied to finish second here at this level on Dec. 3. Filly has worked three times since, the latest a near bullet 3-furlongs Dec. 28. She draws a nice inside post and gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #5 (Broken Border) (5-2) - Home bred has been freshened up since finishing second when debuting on the turf going 7-furlongs in early October at Belmont. Daughter of "Broken Vow" is from a very good barn (Jay Servis) and he has good numbers in all the relevant categories. The presence of Irad Ortiz Jr. indicates they like her chances.
3rd pick: #7 (Jules and Rome) (9-2) - "Jules" has finished second in two of three appearances with all of those switched from turf to dirt. Stretch runner by "Dunkirk" has a pair of sharp works heading into this and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #8 (Endsonahighnote) (5-1) - She finished second at odds of 55-1 when going a mile in her NYRA debut Nov. 15. Daughter of "Read the Footnotes" has worked well since and can factor if she avoids a wide trip.
