Top pick: #6 (TIME STUDY) - Gelded son of "Kelly Kip" broke running last out from an outside post, but was beaten to the top by another before they hit the turn. He chased until mid-stretch, where he gave way. Race was his first in 3 1/2 months, and he should be "tighter" this afternoon.
2nd pick: #10 (Hooked Up) - Logical selection and possible favorite finished second at this level and distance on Feb. 5. He chased the pace and held well for the place spot. Fractions were slow, as was the final time. May not warrant too short a price.
3rd pick: #4 (Catskill City) - Chased and tired in his debut on Jan. 31 facing $50K opposition. Drops significantly for the Rice barn today, and that trainer is sharp second time out (24%).
4th pick: #8 (Bongo Boy) - He broke slowly in his debut, yet made a solid late gain in a race with a runaway winner. Drops, and has lasix added by trainer Bruce Levine, both strong moves by the barn.
