Premium Pick

Top pick: #8 (HARSH) (3-1) - Home-bred runs off a 70 day break and a private trainer change to Jay Servis (27% with new stock). He's been competitive in two of three dirt starts facing tougher and is dropped into a career soft spot by the new barn.

2nd pick: #11 (Acigarisjustacigar) (6-1) - Nice effort last out saw him involved from gate-to-wire and only miss by a 1/2 length facing $20K state-breds on Dec. 7. He moves to an outside post, but a repeat of his latest makes him a win candidate.

3rd pick: #9 (Bird Hunter) (8-1) - He's shown a little speed in both starts and will be racing with blinkers on and at a new low in price.

4th pick: #5 (Bob and Jim) (8-1) - "Nibbler" finisjed third here last out at this level and his trainer (Jim Iselin) won a maiden race here yesterday. Veteran maiden may hold on for another minor award.

5th pick: #1 (Giulio Cesare) (12-1) - He has the rail, drops down to a new low, and has shown early speed in both starts. Gelding runs off almost a two month break and will be sent hard by veeteran C.C. Lopez.
