Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #9 (UNCLE CURLY) (2-1) - A NEW gelding, he ships from Tampa Bay Downs where he was an easy winner at this trip facing 'open' company. However, he was disqualified and placed second for a bumping incident in which he was the guilty party. In with fellow state breds today, he gets a slight edge but make sure you box your bets in this contest.
nd pick: #10 (Neper) (8-1) - Longshot switches to the grass while stretching out in distance. A $225,000 colt by 'Uncle Mo', he enters off a pair of wide and even efforts sprinting here on the dirt at this level. Bred for turf success, he's been working fast and Javier Castellano stays aboard.
rd pick: #12 (Zechariah) (9-2) - Away since June of last year, he was competitive at this level and distance May 11 at Belmont and has a fine series of works showing for his return. His post hurts his chances a bit, but he's still capable of factoring if ready.
th pick: #8 (Postmaster) (5-1) - Another NEW gelding, speedy 3yo has been out of action since a pair of sharp efforts sprinting on the grass last summer. He has early speed, was in training for his return in Florida, and is in the mix.
th pick: #11 (Quick Charge) (12-1) - Longshot showed some talent in both turf starts last summer/early fall, and is another that spent the winter training in Florida. He breezed a bullet 3 furlongs at Belmont April 16 and is another that is a possible threat at a big price.
