Top pick: #4 (DENDRITE) (4-1) - Long time maiden has done most of his best work on this surface at 6-0-3-2 and he has some nice works showing for his first start since Oct. 20. Gelding by "Rockport Harbor" has run well off of layoffs in the past and can take this if ready.
2nd pick: #8 (Solo Approach) (7-2) - He ships up from Gulfstream where he raced evenly facing special weights on March 2nd. It was his first off a Joe Orseno claim and he drops him back down for this attempt. Fits and will be finishing fast.
3rd pick: #6 (Captain Keon) (5-1) - Gelding was improving last summer/fall when he was switched to the turf and ran third at this level going 7-furlongs at Belmont Oct. 10. Working nicely and trainer Rod Ubillo adds blinkers.
4th pick: #5 (Texas Town) (12-1) - Longshot has some fine early speed and will be stretching out in distance and going dirt to turf off an eight week freshening. In a winning barn (Jeremiah Englehart), and this gelding's best came here in late Nov. in his only previous grass appearance.
5th pick: #3 (Buddy's Smart) (30-1) - He tired badly at this tag racing on dirt March 20th in his first start in three months. Well-bred and longshot had a near bullet half-mile work at Belmont April 7th. May grab a share at a big price.
