Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #11 (MY GIRL ANNIE) (9-2) - Freshened up since Feb. 19, trainer Chad Brown has this $165K purchase working fast for her return. Competitive in three of her first four, she draws a nice outside post at this seven-furlong distance, and stalker has Irad Ortiz, Jr. aboard for the first time.
nd pick: #3 (Miss Sizzle) (5-1) - Filly was bet down to heavy, 6-5, favoritism when debuting at this level going six furlongs on the inner-surface March 18. She had an outside post and raced very wide while beaten 6.5 lengths. Trainer Mike Hushion (30% second time out) adds blinkers and has her traveling an additional furlong. A strong win candidate.
rd pick: #2 (Driven by Speed) (5-1) - Away since her heavily bet debut last May at Belmont, she's been working fast at Palm Bach Downs for trainer Todd Pletcher (a strong 35% off of long layoffs). Filly has John Velazquez aboard and is a factor if ready.
th pick: #1 (Lucky Bug) (4-1) - One of five fillies making their debuts, daughter of 'Lookin At Lucky' cost $255,000 as a yearling back in Aug. of 2015 at Saratoga. Training steadily for Rudy Rodriguez, she drilled a bullet half-mile March 11 at Belmont.
th pick: #4 (Holiday Disguise) (8-1) - $220K daughter of 'Harlan's Holiday' was bumped at the beak and raced evenly once in stride when debuting March 18. She was a length in front of 'Miss Sizzle,' and her trainer, Linda Rice, wins at a 39% rate second time out. Must be left in the same race exotic bets mix.
