AQUEDUCT Race #9

Premium Pick

Top pick: #11 (PRINCESS VIOLET) (7-5) - Barry Schwartz home-bred just missed "lighting up the tote board" when she missed by a "neck" at odds of 42-1 when debuting against "open" special weights on March 16 at Gulfstream. Daughter of "Officer" is brought back quickly by a strong second-out barn (Mike Hushion 40%), and filly draws a nice post at this trip as she runs against fellow state-breds in today's finale.

2nd pick: #3 (Keep Right) (7-2) - Another that's well-bred, filly has gone 4-0-3-1 so far and will get the addition of blinkers for this attempt. Daughter of "Street Cry" looks the next best of those that have raced.

3rd pick: #12 (Isabelle) (4-1) - $100,000 daughter of "Successful Appeal" hasn't raced since debuting at Saratoga Aug. 21st. Bet heavily that day, she ran a bit "rank" while finishing an even fourth. She had some nice works on view at Palm Meadows before shipping north, and can factor if ready.

4th pick: #9 (Laurenmychanelgirl) (15-1) - Filly raced evenly following a slow start when debuting on March 3. From a "hot barn" (Linda Rice), and this daughter of "Afleet Alex" may grab a share at a big price.

5th pick: #7 (Hot On Ice) (30-1) - Lostritto home-bred took some action when debuting for a $25K tag on March 22. She raced close up before tiring a bit to check-in fourth of eight, beaten by six lengths. Barn brings her back quickly and moves her up in class. A small slice is possible at very long odds.
