Top pick: #6 (EMERALD BEECH) - She's improved a lot this season going (6-4-1-0) and in her lone "out of the money" finish she ran fourth last out at Belmont in the Flower Bowl Invitational (G1). Home-bred by "Maria's Mon" has won at this 1 1/2 mile trip in the past and she looks very tough in this spot.
2nd pick: #4 (Hasay) - English-bred filly from Team Valor ships from Keeneland where she finished fifth of 11 in the $125K Dowager S. there three weeks ago. 4-year-old has more tactical speed than most entered and think she'll be competitive at a square price.
3rd pick: #7 (Mekong Melody) - Long-winded Irish-bred mare won this stakes last year by 3 1/2 lengths, but hasn't visited the winner's circle in six starts since then. She's been in with some pretty tough fields along the way and is still very dangerous with her best.
