In her previous start she was just under a length behind today's rival 'Jamyson 'n Ginger.' Phipps home bred gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #2 (Jamyson 'n Ginger) (9-5) - The probable favorite, filly has been highly thought of since beginning her career in August of 2016 at Saratoga. Stakes placed, she was a winner at this distance Sept. 10 at Belmont in only her second race since returning from a 7 month layoff June 1. $280,000 daughter of 'Bernardini' is an obvious win candidate at a short price.
3rd pick: #1 (Girl Talk) (6-1) - Another that's lightly-raced, she broke poorly and had traffic issues when racing evenly at this level and distance Sept. 28 at Belmont. A winner of two straight prior to that, $390,000 purchase is a late threat in this spot.
4th pick: #9 (Smile Big) (10-1) - One of two entered by trainer Rudy Rodriguez and the pair race uncoupled. Speed/stalker has been off form in her last two starts, but had been very sharp prior to that. Can factor at a big price with her best.
