Daughter of "Officer" rallied while widest to finish second at this level going 6-furlongs on the Belmont turf on Oct. 11. Nice effort came off a 2 1/2 month break and she's gone 6-2-0-1 on the dirt in the past. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #5 (Legally Bay) (7-2) - Home bred has really gotten better since June and has gone 7-1-1-3 since that time. Stalker by "Read the Footnotes" has been sharp in two straight at this level and should be involved from start-to-finish.
3rd pick: #7 (Kate is a Ten) (8-1) - In career best shape at this point, filly moves up in class after an easy win at Belmont racing for a $16k tag facing "open" company. Stalker cleared the 2l condition that afternoon and think she's a threat at a square price.
4th pick: #6 (J C's American dream) (4-1) - No-speed type almost always makes a late run and she's gone 7-0-2-2 at this distance in the past. Three-year-old was 3 1/2 back of "Legally Bay" on Sept. 25 and will need a fast and/or contested pace for any shot at the top prize.
