Top pick: #3 (MORAVITZ) (4-1) - He stretches out in distance off a "nose" loss at Belmont going 7-furlongs on Oct. 17. That was a career best and this strong finisher should get a solid pace to rally into.
nd pick: #8 (Angel de Amour) (7-2) - Speedy sort just failed to hold on at Belmont racing on Oct. 20 at this tag and trip. Solid effort came off a pair of layoffs and a positive trainer change to gary Gullo. Win candidate.
rd pick: #11 (Bernie's Best) (3-1) - He rallied last out to defeat "Angel" by a 1/2 length and that was his best overall since last April, and he's been sharp in both starts since dropping to this level. Must be left in the three-horse win mix.
th pick: #5 (Fiddler's Chico) (15-1) - Minor player has some ability and could grab a slice of this at a big price with one of his better efforts.
th pick: #9 (Brother Brendan) (12-1) - He tends to race evenly, but drops to a new low and has blinkers added. A minor award would appear to be his ceiling.
