Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #7 (OUR CIRCLE OF LOVE) (3-1) - Well bred filly is one of two entered by trainer Michelle Nevin and the pair race uncoupled. This $380,000 daughter of 'Distorted Humor' looked great breaking her maiden here at this distance Nov. 2. She won by 8.5 lengths while earning the highest figure any of these has ever reached. 3yo had finished 2nd in her first four starts and gets a slight edge as she faces her toughest field up to this point.
2nd pick: #1 (Pauseforthcause) (2-1) - The morning line and probable favorite, she's working fast for her first since Oct. 20 when she missed by a length in a $155K stakes for fellow New York-breds at Belmont. Speed/stalker had a huge half-mile bullet breeze Nov. 30 at Belmont (best of 62 at the distance that a.m.) and is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (Byself) (9-2) - The second of the Nevin trained fillies, she's been highly competitive in all her dirt sprints (5-3-2-0) and has some sharp works on view for her first since Oct. 14. Speed/stalker completes a strong hand from the trainer.
4th pick: #2 (Bluegrass Jamboree) (4-1) - Consistent 4yo missed by a 'neck'at this level and distance here Nov. 16 in a contest that was taken 'off the turf'. Stalker has a ground-saving post and should be passing some late. A fast and/or contested pace would help her chances out.
