Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (FACE IT) (2-1) - Very lightly-raced, Godolphin bred/owned daughter of 'Tapit' is facing winners for the first time. She was a visually impressive maiden winner here at this distance Nov. 7 as she scored by 10 lengths as a heavy favorite. Only her third start, she takes the next logical step today and I think she can win right back despite facing tougher.
2nd pick: #2 (Out of Trouble) (4-1) - This filly is far more experienced than 'Face It' and although most of her success has been on the grass, her last two starts on the dirt are very good. Speed/stalker finished a pace-chasing third here at this level going 9 furlongs Nov. 7 and is cutting back in distance for this attempt.
3rd pick: #1 (Best Performance) (5-2) - She looked like a filly with a bright future after just missing in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf' (G1) Nov. 3 of 2017 at Del Mar. Sent in for a four-month break after that fine effort, she's not been as sharp in her three races in 2018 and hasn't started since June 10. Working fast, trainer Chris Clement moves her back to the dirt where she went 3-1-2-0 during the spring/summer of 2017. A strong win candidate if ready.
4th pick: #5 (Aikenetta) (4-1) - She was an easy winner at this distance Sept. 14 at Belmont in a contest that was taken 'off the turf'. Consistent sort has a speed/stalking style, enters in the best form of her career, and must be left in the mix.
