Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (SHIMMERING MOON) (3-1) - Home bred daughter of 'Malibu Moon' set a fast pace before weakening to finish third when racing at this level and distance on a muddy surface at Belmont Oct 23. It was her first race in just over 6-months and she should move forward of of it. It's noted that jockey Jose Ortiz stays aboard.
2nd pick: #2 (Kathryn the Wise) (7-2) - One of two fillies making their debuts, filly by 'Unvle Mo' has an impressive work tab on view and is from the barn of Chad Brown (19% first out). A very strong win candidate in a weak field for the level. I could have easily made her the top selection.
3rd pick: #1 (Play Me a Memory) (5-2) - Philly Park invader has early speed, breaks from the rail, has blinkers added and is facing fellow New York breds for the first time. She 'won' last out at Philly but was disqualified and placed second. Dangerous today.
4th pick: #8 (Tough Old Bird) (7-2) - Filly rallied from far back to finish second when debuting at Belmont Oct 23. She passed 'Shimmering Moon' in the final yards but received a favorable pace set up that day. Believe a minor award is her ceiling.
