Top pick: #4 (CONGRESS PARK) (3-1) - Filly has been sharp in both outings and enters off a third place finish at Belmont at this level going 8.5-furlongs on Oct. 10th. Stalker has worked twice since, retains Castellano, and gets a slight edge.
nd pick: #10 (R Y Squadron) (5-2) - She's one of two entered by trainer Chad Brown, and the pair race uncoupled. Home bred by "Stormy Atlantic" chased and held down the place spot sprinting on a muddy surface at Belmont Oct. 16th. Race was switched to the main track, and she received valuable race experience that afternoon. Barn wins at a 28% rate second time out, and this filly is a win candidate as Brown moves her to the grass and stretches her out in distance.
rd pick: #6 (Fourstar Crook) (6-1) - The second of the Chad Brown fillies, she raced evenly after being "bumped" hard when debuting in the same Oct. 10th contest as "Congress Park." $110K daughter of "Freud" was only three lengths back of that rival and will be a much bigger price than her.
th pick: #1 (Not Now Joanie) (6-1) - Daughter of "Cosmonaut" showed fine early speed before weakening to finish third of 12, beaten 8 1/2 lengths when debuting at Belmont going 7-furlongs on Oct. 25th. Good barn (George Weaver 15% second time out) brings her back quickly and stretches her out around two turns. She draws the rail, and that's a nice place to be on this traditionally speed favoring turf course.
th pick: #8 (Culminating) (10-1) - Filly has been bet in both starts and has raced evenly in each. She did improve quite a bit in her second outing, and she appears to be the type that should like this two turn trip.
