Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #2 (UNCLE SIGH) (8-5) - He was a major player during the first part of 2014 in relation to the Triple Crown trail. However, he tired in the Kentucky Derby and did not race again for 15 1/2 months. Heavily favored in a pair of return starts, he was competitive in one of those at Saratoga. On the sidelines for the past two months, he's working very fast for his new trainer (Bill Mott). Colt should beat these if he has any talent left after the extended absence.
2nd pick: #11 (Repent Twice) (8-1) - Stretch runner has been freshened up for just under three months. He's working fast for his return, presumably with the blinkers on that trainer John Parisella races him with for the first time. Dangerous at a square price.
3rd pick: #8 (Full of Mine) (6-1) - Colt enters off a career best figure Oct 25 at Belmont. Facing winners for the first time that afternoon, he rallied to finish a non-threatening third in the $300K Empire Classic. Much improved of late and he must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #3 (Send It In) (7-2) - Home bred by 'Big Brown' looked sharp when defeating high-level 'open' company starter-allowance foes Oct 8 at Belmont. Stalker worked fast a week ago and trainer Todd Pletcher has him back in with fellow New York breds in this spot.
