Top pick: #7 (VAID) (5-2) - Filly was claimed last July by Michelle Nevin for $20K, and sent in for a 100 day vacation. Since returning on Oct. 13th, daughter of "Read the Footnotes" has gone 7-3-3-0 and missed by a "nose" here at this level and distance Feb. 24th. The horse to beat if she can avoid a wide trip.
2nd pick: #3 (Milkyyourway) (6-1) - She has fine early foot and catches a field without much other speed this afternoon. Mare tired after setting a pressured pace in the same last race as "Vaid." Price play was 4 1/2 back of that rival, but is a threat on the front end.
3rd pick: #2 (Lumineuse) (10-1) - Longshot raced evenly here in a 5.5-furlong sprint on Feb. 9th in her first in almost 100 days. She has some speed, draws a nice post, and should be in this most of the way.
4th pick: #1 (Penthouse Party) (5-2) - Mare ships back from Laurel where she rallied to finish second at this distance facing "open" allowance foes on Feb. 19th. She tries hard every time, draws the rail, and has been competitive here in the past.
