Top pick: #8 (CUVEE CITY) (7-2) - Speedy colt comes here from the No. California circuit and has finished 2nd in two of his four starts on conventional dirt. Purchased privately in early January, he gets a major trainer upgrade to Jeremiah Englehart (32% with new arrivals) and he has a pair of above average works at Belmont since shipping cross country.
2nd pick: #4 (Danceteria) (9-2) - Gelding by "City Zip" raced evenly while having some traffic issues when finishing 4th here in his debut on Jan 11th. Home-bred has worked fast twice since then and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (Seljuk) (12-1) - Longshot hasn't raced since late May, but is working well above average for his new trainer (Jen Antonccci). He ran well back then in 2 of 3 grass starts and can factor from "off the pace" at a big price.
4th pick: #5 (Street Swagg) (8-5) - Home-bred hasn't raced since April 7th when he just missed in a very strong effort and earned by far the best "figure" any of these to this point. Training fine for his return and is an obvious factor, but at a short price.
