2nd pick: #4 (Jai Alai) (3-1) - Gelding was scratched the other day to await this spot. He's dropping in class and shortening up in distance. Fits on 'figures,' and he has enough early speed to stay within range and make a move turning for home.
3rd pick: #10 (Chief Assignment) (6-1) - Much improved lately, he's won two of his last three, both here at this distance. Speed/stalker won at this tag Jan. 17th to clear the 2l condition. Trainer Mitch Friedman brings him back quickly for his first at the next level (3l).
4th pick: #7 (Alysaro) (7-2) - Stretch runner has rallied to finish 2nd in four of five starts at this 3l condition when racing at this $14,000 claiming price. An obvious stretch if he doesn't fall too far behind in the opening 1/4 mile.
