2nd pick: #7 (Charlie McCoy) (8-1) - Lightly raced and quick from the gate, he tired after setting a pressured pace Nov. 23 and was almost nine lengths in back of 'Caretaker.' However, it was his first race in 7.5 months, and this colt has worked fast twice since. Home bred is a win candidate at a square price.
3rd pick: #9 (Potomac) (7-2) - On the sidelines since Aug. 8, this consistent performer won by a 'nose' that day at Saratoga at this trip for a $40K tag. Claimed that day by Steve Asmussen, he wins at a 19% rate off of long layoffs and at a 21% clip fresh off the claim. In the mix.
4th pick: #3 (Spectre Sound) (8-1) - A vert lightly raced 6yo, he's gone 8-2-3-0 so far, and has been working fast since winning by a neck' over weaker at this distance Oct. 12 at Gulfstream Park. He has a ground saving post here, and trainer Mark Casse is three for five at this meet.
