Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (SPLENDID GOLD) (4-1) - Consistent filly moves up in class following a claim by John Toscano Jr. (29% winning angle). She was an easy winner Dec. 3 racing for a $25K tag and I like the fact that the new barn brings her back quickly.
2nd pick: #10 (Uncle Southern) (7-2) - Veteran mare finished a solid second at this level and distance Nov. 18. Stalker always tries hard and she's a strong win candidate in this spot.
3rd pick: #1 (Pretty Enuff) (5-1) - Three-year-old has won five in a row since home bred was switched to the barn of trainer Jeremiah Englehart in early summer. Stalker is facing tougher today, but her inside post should lead to a ground saving trip. Must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #6 (Krista's Persona) (6-1) - Very wide last out, she did well to finish third, only a length in back of 'Uncle Southern.' One-run type is in good form and I like the fact that Irad Ortiz Jr. stays with her.
