She tired badly in her return Oct. 18 at Belmont, but ran a bit 'head strong.' Trainer Bill Mot had her work a sharp half-mile Nov. 25 and has Jose Ortiz aboard for the first time.
2nd pick: #12 (Stonefactor) (3-1) - Heavily bet in both starts, she ran well here at this level and distance Nov. 5 in her first on the grass. Home bred by 'The Factor' has John Velazquez staying aloft and is a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #10 (Summer Squeeze) (8-1) - One of four fillies making their debuts, trainer Mark Hennig worked her four times at Belmont during November. Daughter of 'Broken Vow' drilled a bullet half-mile from the gate there on the 24th and can factor at a square price if ready.
4th pick: #11 (Scatback) (5-1) - She's back on the grass for the first time since Saratoga where she raced both wide and evenly in a pair of sprints. It's noted that Javier Castellano is aboard for the first time, a sure sign that her connections think she'll run well.
