Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #1 (PURELY LUCKY) (4-1) - Lightly-raced filly tired while wide going a mile on the dirt here Jan. 14 in a $100K stakes for fellow state breds. Sharp in 3-of-4 last year on the grass, she's working well above average, has the rail, and trainer Brad Cox has John Velazquez aboard for the first time.
2nd pick: #9 (Pauseforthecause) (3-1) - Speedy filly hasn't finished worse than fourth in all seven starts. Freshened up since a third place finish in a $100K dirt sprint Feb. 24, she's working fast and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Forever Daisy) (10-1) - One of two entered by trainer Dave Donk and the pair race uncoupled. Longshot has a flexible style and she finished second on this course at this distance Dec. 1 when still a maiden. May grab a share at a big price.
4th pick: #4 (Codrington) (8-1) - The second of the pair trained by Dave Donk, home bred has been on the sidelines since Oct. 18. Competitive in 4-of-5 on the grass with her only sub par outing coming at Belmont Oct. 1 when she raced evenly facing 'open' company in a G3 stakes. Another long shot, when last in action filly was only 1.5 lengths behind 'Pauseforthecause'.
