He rallied to miss by just under a length racing at this level and distance on the inner-surface March 215. He's worked twice since, including a bullet half-mile March 30 at Belmont Park. Can take this at a square price.
2nd pick: #11 (Sound of Freedom) (7-2) - He's dropping in class and stretching back out in distance. Five-year-old raced evenly after a poor start Marc 5 sprinting for a $25K tag. Speed/ stalker missed by a 'head' at this level and distance Jan 30. He draws a nice outside post at this one-turn mile and Irad Ortiz Jr. is aboard. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #9 (Swivel) (6-1) - Well bred 4-year-old rallied to finish third at this level on the winter-surface here March 10. Home bred by 'Tiznow' is racing back into form following a half-year's absence and is a factor with his stretch running style.
4th pick: #10 (Jacob's Here) (15-1) - Stretch runner has been much improved of late and is only one of two entered who's maiden win on the main surface here. Think he can be competitive at a big price.
5th pick: #5 (Afleet Skier) (5-1) - Lightly-raced, he showed nothing here facing much tougher going seven furlongs April 6. He had broken his maiden at Philly Park in his previous start and is a stretch factor with a repeat of that effort.
