Top pick: #4 (HOOKED ON HOPE) - Filly was very sharp in beating a field of $20,000 claimersa at the 2l level at Gulfstream on Feb. 18. The win came off a layoff and trainer Barclay Tagg has given her almost two months since that victory. Faces fellow stste-breds today and is very much the horse to beat if she reproduces that last effort.
2nd pick: #7 (Triple Tax Exempt) - She stayed busy during the winter making a pair of starts at Gulfstream and filly will move back in with fello New York-breds this afternoon. Strong finisher is a win threat down the stretch.
3rd pick: #9 (Big Brownie) - Lightly raced and she has some talent. Filly broke her mqaiden at Gulfstream on the main-track last out and will try the turf for the second time in her career today. Daughter of "Wheelaway" finished a solid third last fall at Belmont when still a maiden.
4th pick: #2 (Cap the Thunder) - Daughter of "Thunder Gulch" is clearly better on the grass and trainer Rich Schosberg will move her back to that surface for the first time since last Oct. Working sharply for this and she's a contender from close range.
