Top pick: #7 (BOURBON TWIST) (9-5) - She was reported to be a runner before her debut at Saratoga in late August and she promptly went out and was a dominating winner at this distance on the grass. Unraced since, tyrainer Chad Brown had her working at Palm Meadows for her 3yo debut and he wins at a 37% rate off of long layoffs. Daughter of "Langfuhr" will be very tough on this field if ready.
2nd pick: #3 (Red Code) (15-1) - Longshot was claimed at Saratoga on Aug 1st by Jena Antonucci for $20K and hasn't raced since. Filly has talent, is working nicely, annd can be dangerous at expected long odds.
3rd pick: #10 (Katie Malone) (4-1) - Grey filly was claimed on Feb 17th at Gulfstream for $30K by veteran Steve Klesaris and she rallied to finish 2nd that day facing "open" company. She broke her maiden on this course last Nov and is in the mix.
4th pick: #6 (Ascended Fever) (15-1) - She raced evenly here on Feb 28th after having some trouble at the start in what has the look of a conditioning effort. Clearly a much better animal on the grass, and she can factor at a very big price.
