Premium Pick

Top pick: #10 (MEI LING) (4-1) - Daughter of "Empire Maker" cost owner Barry Schwartz $500K in Sept. of 2012 and is racing off a pair of layoffs. Filly is working sharply at Belmont, draws a nice outside post, and has run well in three of her four starts.

2nd pick: #5 (Fame and Fortune) (2-1) - The probable favorite, she also cost $500K and finished second a year ago at Gulfstream when making her debut. Filly by "Unbridled's Song" has been on the sidelines since, has been working both frequently and above average at Palm Meadows, and she's an obvious win threat.

3rd pick: #9 (Sea Trial) (7-2) - Another with beautiful breeding, Phipp's home-bred is also by "Unbridled's Song" and when last in action, she rallied to finish third on this surface going 7-furlongs on Nov. 30. Three-year-old spent the winter at Payson Park and will run with lasix administered. A strong factor if ready.

4th pick: #7 (Sun and Moon) (10-1) - Speed/stalker has gone 4-0-3-1 sprinting and has a recencty edge on the top three selections. Her best ever came on this surface on Nov. 20 when she was beaten a "neck" going 5.5-furlongs. In the mix, and at a square price.

5th pick: #6 (Atlantic Dream) (5-1) - $130K daughter of "Stormy Atlantic" has had many chances, but comes off a sharp effort at Gulfstream going 7-furlongs on Feb. 27. It was her first ever on the dirt and is training well at Belmont.
