Top pick: #4 (SINGLET) (5-1) - Speedy sort won a pair of stakes here last winter on the inner-dirt surface and has been lightly raced since. Filly finished second in back-to-back sprint stakes during the summer and runs today for the first time since Sept. 1. Training nicely at Philly Park for her return and trainer Tony Dutrow has her set for a big effort.
2nd pick: #5 (Delightful Quality) (5-2) - Very lightly-raced Darley home-bred by "Elusive Quality" has gone (4-1-3-0) in her brief career and looks like the only entrant who can run with "Singlet" in the early stages. 3-year-old should be involved every step.
3rd pick: #7 (Kid Kate) (2-1) - "Kate" has been a fixture around here for four racing seasons and this is her final start. Hard-hitting New York-bred is (24-8-4-4) overall and could pass the $500K mark in earnings if she wins this. She probably should have earned much more, but her best distances were at 6.5 and 7 furlongs, and they're not widely popular. Veteran draws a tough post and will need some pace help to go out a winner.
