Top pick: #6 (MIAS FIRST) - Good efforts in all three of her appearances for this bargain-priced ($7000) yearling. Pressed the pace last out against a good group and she held well to finish a close-up fourth. Third finisher in that contest (Sheikh's Serenade) won easily here last Sunday. Win pick in a good betting race.
2nd pick: #1 (Giant Mover) - Debut filly by "Giant's Causeway" has several good drills, including a big gate work on the Belmont training-track on October 25. Barn (Jimmy Jerkens) can have one ready at first asking.
3rd pick: #3 (Pleasant Ballerina) - Fine debut speed shown on a sloppy track at Monmouth in late September. Filly chased the pace and held well to finish second. Freshened-up since, and her most recent drill is solid.
