Top pick: #8 (Quit Smokin) (9-2) - Speedy filly has been tiring readily facing better and has been freshened up since Oct. 8th. Trainer John Hertler switches her back to the dirt after four straight on the grass and is dropping her to a new low in price. Grey daughter of "Smoke Glacken" gets a slight edge in a tough contest.
nd pick: #1 (Geraldine) (4-1) - Lightly raced filly showed nothing facing tougher here on a sloppy surface on Nov. 6th. She had finished second at this $25K tag in her previous start at Laurel and is brought back in 18-days while dropping back down. A win candidate from her inside post.
rd pick: #12 (Super Saver) (8-1) - Lightly raced and fast from the gate, trainer Colum O'Brien adds blinkers while dropping her into a claimer for the first time. Filly by "City Zip" had a sharp 1/2 mile work on Nov. 15th, presumably with the "hood" on.
th pick: #3 (Built in a Day) (15-1) - She chased a long gone winner last out on a sloppy surface and tired in the final 1/4 mile. The winner that day came right back to score again on Friday, and this longshot by "Roman Ruler" is an interesting price play.
th pick: #13 (Peach Lake) (6-1) - Long time maiden has gone 3-0-1-2 in her last three starts, but draws a difficult outside post in a large field. Stretch runner will need some breaks for anything more than another small slice.
