Top pick: #5 (LIAM'S MAP) (4-5) - Lightly raced colt by "Unbridled's Song" faces winners for the first time this afternoon. $800K yearling purchase looked absolutely super when breaking his maiden at this distance at Belmont on Sept. 26th. He won by almost 10-lengths and ran the 8-furlongs in a snappy 1:34.60. Trainer Todd Pletcher has him working fast and this promising late developing 3yo appears to have a bright future. Much the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (Round) (4-1) - Another that's lightly raced, he's been sharp in all his outings (4-1-1-2) and enters off a solid second place finish at this level going 6-furlongs at Belmont Oct. 24th. Trainer Bill Mott stretches him out in distance, and it's a big plus that this 3yo son of "Arch" is stringing starts together. The main danger.
3rd pick: #7 (The Brother's Rap) (10-1) - Experienced gelding has been sharp in four straight facing weaker. Stalker draws a nice outside post, and he's one of two horses that have won on the Aqueduct main track in the past.
4th pick: #3 (Finn's Quest) (12-1) - Colt by "Giant's Causeway" has a solid record on the dirt (11-2-2-4) and is working steadily for his first race since March 10. May grab a minor award if ready off the long absence.
