Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (BEYOND BROWN) (8-1) - Daughter of 'Big Brown' had a poor trip when finishing fourth of 8, beaten 9 lengths going a mile on the Belmont turf Sept. 27. It was her first ever on the grass and clearly her best so far. Generazio home bred gets a rider switch to Irad Ortiz Jr and think this filly has a good chance at a big price.
2nd pick: #3 (Moana's Tale) (3-1) - The morning line favorite, she raced wide and evenly when debuting at Belmont in a 6 furlong sprint Oct. 4 that was taken 'off the turf'. That experience was a plus and now she gets to race on the grass while stretching out in distance.
3rd pick: #7 (Mebs Web) (12-1) - Her lack of speed is a concern, but she did rally to finish fourth in a dirt sprint at Belmont for a $50K tag Oct. 6. Home bred has problems at the break in two of her three attempts and is switching to the grass while stretching out in distance, both for the first time.
4th pick: #1 (Adorable Maya) (15-1) - Filly is one of two entered by Tom Bush and the pair race uncoupled. Freshened up for the past two months, daughter of 'Bernardini' was competitive in one of two dirt sprints during the late Summer and is bred to like the switch to the grass.
