Top pick: #7 (BELIEVE IN YOU) - Races today for the second time off a three month layoff and gelding showed good early speed before tiring in his return effort. Gets a rider change today to capable apprentice Ortiz Jr. and this 3-year-old by "Congrats" can take this crew from start to finish.
2nd pick: #8 (Grimmer) - Freshened-up since late Sept. when he finished a pace-chasing third at Belmont facing tougher, and he has a series of solid works on view. The probable favorite and I almost put him on top.
3rd pick: #3 (Getinitalltogether) - Runs off a major trainer change to Dave Jacobson (22% with new arrivals) and he comes off a strong Belmont meet where he finished atop the standings. Gelding has a fine late kick and this contest is filled with many who'll be backing up during the stretch run. He'll be closing fast.
