Latest saw him miss by a neck going 6 furlongs on the Belmont grass Sept. 20. Trainer 'Shug' McGaughey stretches him out in distance, a 26% winning angle, and he had this son of 'Street Sense' work four times during October. I give him a slight edge.
2nd pick: #3 (Portfolio) (5-2) - The morning line and probable favorite, he rallied to finish second when debuting at this level going a mile at Belmont Sept. 8. From the barn of Chad Brown, 30% second time out, he's adding blinkers (27%), and this $100K purcahse is a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Michael's Bad Boy) (10-1) - A home bred son of 'Noble Mission', he raced evenly when finishing 4.5 lengths in back of 'Stanhope' when debuting in a Belmont grass sprint Sept. 20. Colt received some betting support and longshot may factor today as he stretches out in distance.
4th pick: #1 (Lord Camden) (15-1) - Longshot has had wide trips in two of his three starts and raced evenly in the other. Colt draws a tough outside post and believe a minor award at a big price is his ceiling.
