Top pick: #2 (MUCHO MUCHADO) (3-1) - He really put it together last year as like most by "Macho Uno," he's gotten better with age. Gelding went (12-6-2-1) in 2012 and runs for the first time since Dec. 16. Working fine and he can upset the presumed favorite (No. 8 "J W Blue").
2nd pick: #8 (J W BLUE) (7-5) - The probable heavy favorite, he raced evenly facing tougher on Feb. 21 in his first race in almost four months. He finished third in the $1M "Travers" (G1) back in in 2011, and runs today at a new low. Obvious win candidate, but at a very short price.
3rd pick: #5 (Red Leader) (8-1) - Veteran doesn't win very often (6-for-50), but has picked-up minor awards 22 times and is (5-0-2-2) at this demanding 9-furlong distance. Runs for the second time for the Rodriguez, and second off a 2 1/2 month layoff.
4th pick: #4 (Springcourt) (7-2) - Long-winded type had a trouble trip in his latest, but had finished a close-up second in his previous start. In shape and must be left in the mix.
