Premium Pick

Top pick: #4 (MASTER CIP) (8-5) - He looked like stakes material when he broke his maiden here going 6 furlongs in 1:10.40 and winning by 13 lengths. Race was his first since June 15th and first for trainer Rudy Rodriguez. Working fast since, the barn will stretch him out to a mile.

2nd pick: #6 (Sea to Sky) (3-1) - He's raced well in all three appearances since coming from So. California during the fall. He broke his maiden here on Dec. 27, then just missed at this level on Feb. 2. Win candidate.

3rd pick: #2 (Cousin Michael) (4-1) - "Mike" is a promising home-bred who faces winners for the first time following an impressive maiden score at this distance Jan. 27. In his previous start he ran second to "Pinball" who looks to be stakes bound. Must be left in the mix.

4th pick: #1 (Big City Boy) (8-1) - Gelding runs third off a 2 1/2 month layoff and will be attempting a two-turn distance for the first time. One-run type has the rail and has his blinkers removed for this try.

5th pick: #7 (Snap Call) (5-1) - He has some ability and comes off a distant second to the promising "Pinball" here at this level on Feb. 17. Effort was a career best and he can grab a slice at a square price.
