Top pick: #5 (LOOMIN' LORI LOU) (2-1) - She hasn't raced since last spring when she showed fine early speed before weakening in both starts facing much tougher. Trainer Chad Brown (21% off of long layoffs) has her working very fast, and drops her into a claimer for the first time. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #4 (Countess Twice) (4-1) - Filly tired after chasing the pace when debuting on Nov. 13th, then was never a factor while racing very wide from a tough outside post on Dec. 20th. She takes the same drop as "Lori," and can impact today.
3rd pick: #7 (Dance I Can) (6-1) - She's finished second in both starts to date, and has been claimed out of each. Speed/stalker runs today off a Dom Schettino purchase Dec. 14th, and he brings her back five weeks later with a raise up in price. In the mix.
4th pick: #3 (You Take the Cake) (8-1) - She has the look of a "nibbler," and has gone 16-0-3-2 to date with all of those at or around this level. Can grab another slice with her best.
