Top pick: #2 (BEAT OF THE DRUM) (6-1) - Price play drops slightly and gets the addition for his second start. Colt chased while wide before tiring when debuting here on Dec. 30 and he draws a better post for this attempt. Has a solid shot at a square price.
2nd pick: #1 (Fierce Farce) (5-1) - Son of "Songandaprayer" has some early speed and draws the rail. He held to finish in front of "Farce" last out and he should be involved every step from his inside draw.
3rd pick: #3 (Hyman Roth) (4-1) - Debuting son of "Street Boss" coast $87,000 and has been in steady training at Belmont since late October. Trainer Mike Hushion has won with a pair of "firsters" over the past month and this colt need not be anything special to factor against this group.
5th pick: #5 (Thanxtomyuncle) (2-1) - He rallied from far back into a fast pace to finish second when debuting here at this price and distamce Dec. 28. He's worked fast since, Dominguez takes over, and this home-bred is a stretch threat, though at a short price, and think he's beatable.
