Top pick: #5 (AVA K) - Not many state-breds by Dixie Union floating around and this home-bred is in a very hot barn (Mike Hushion) Her works are above average and Dominguez is aloft. Trainer/rider combo won one yesterday and win at a 55% rate when teamed-up.
2nd pick: #2 (City Scamper) - Another who's debuting and this filly is from a "win early" sire("City Zip"). Has the rail and a bullet drill at Belmont on Dec. 16. Big odds are expected.
3rd pick: #1 (Freud's Dream) - One of several entered that has experienced "live" action and she showed some speed in her first start. She ran poorly here Dec. 15 off a 2 1/2 month break but will be making back-to-back starts for the first time.
4th pick: #9 (Hurricane Kitten) - Excellent barn (Bruce Levine) has this $150,000 filly by "Tale of the Cat" working fast and the trainer has been on a roll since this meet opened. He normally points his runners towards their second start, but can have one ready first out.
