Top pick: #8 (KID BLAST) - He was bet in his debut and after being "bumped" at the break and racing wide, he rallied in the last furlong to miss by a neck here on the main-surface Nov. 20. He's come-back with a fine 5-furlong breeze a week ago and this son of "Posse" is the top pick.
2nd pick: #9 (Officerandafoose) - One of two entered here by trainer Gary Contessa and the pair will race as separate interests. Speedy colt by "Officer" set the pace and check-in third last out and was just under two lengths back of "Kid" at the finish. Has a big bullet work six days ago and is a threat on the front end.
3rd pick: #3 (Quiet Eyes) - Grey colt has a three month break in his workout line and that's not unusual for a 2-year-old. Home-bred by "Midas Eyes" is in the Rick Dutrow barn, is working steadily on this surface, and trainer wins at a 16% rate first out.
