Top pick: #10 (U.S.S. O'BRIEN) (7-5) - Daughter of "Empire Maker" chased a gate-to-wire winner and held gamely to finish a close up third racing at this level and distance at Belmont Oct. 26. Solid effort came two months after a fine debut at Saratoga and trainer Chad Brown has her all set for her maiden win.
nd pick: #8 (Tiz So Sweet) (8-1) - Price play tired here when debuting in 6-furlong contest Nov. 3. Filly by "Tiznow" showed good early speed while running wide and is a threat today on the stretch-out for trainer Bill Mott.
rd pick: #5 (Predicate) (6-1) - She keeps running hard every time out and has been competitive in all her dirt appearances 5-0-2-3. $200K filly by "Congrats" has already run well twice at this trip and finished second here at it four weeks ago.
th pick: #2 (Mobilize) (5-1) - Improving sort goes turf to dirt after finishing second here at this level on the grass Nov. 10. Solid effort came off a two month freshening and daughter of "War Front" should have little difficulty making the surface change.
th pick: #9 (Spanish Gold) (6-1) - Heavily bet in both starts, she's tired in each after showing fine early speed. The Pletcher barn has freshened her up for the past two months and her works at Belmont suggest she'll offer whatever she has in this spot.
