Top pick: #9 (SAKONNET POINT) (8-5) - The probable favorite, home bred has been lightly-raced and is moving from dirt to turf. Strong finisher has been competitive in three of her four grass attempts and meets a weak field in this spot.
nd pick: #4 (She's All Even) (8-1) - Speedy sort is lightly-raced and running second off a 3 1/2 month layoff. She's finished second in two straight sprinting on the dirt and is attempting a two-turn distance and trying the grass, both for the first time. A threat on the front end.
rd pick: #6 (Aye Sheila) (10-1) - She's one of two entered by trainer John Terranova II and the pair race uncoupled. Grey filly finished an even third sprinting on the dirt at this level March 15th. It was her first in 2 1/2 months and a career best overall. Working nicely, and she's bred for both the turf and this trip.
th pick: #12 (Dixie Gem) (5-1) - One-paced filly draws a tough outside post this afternoon. She's back on the turf for the first time since early fall and it's clearly her surface of preference. The faster the pace, the better her chances.
th pick: #7 (Clear Night) (15-1) - The second of the Terranova pair, she's raced evenly in her first two starts both sprinting on the dirt. May grab a minor award at a big price.
