Top pick: #6 (POINT HOPE) (3-1) - No-speed type rallied to finish second of nine, beaten a length going a two-turn mile on the winter-surface here March 14th. It was his second back off a two month break and he worked sharply at Belmont April 2nd. Can beat these with a stretch run.
2nd pick: #5 (Beatle Boots) (5-2) - Very lightly-raced, he finished second when debuting on this surface Nov 2 in a 6-furlong sprint for a $50K tag. Sent in for a 4 1/2 month layoff, he ran both wide and evenly in the same March 14 race that 'Point Hope' finished second. Claimed that afternoon by Abby Adsit for $30,000, she's worked him very fast twice and has him making back-to-back starts for the first time. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Ghost Ship) (6-1) - He continues to race evenly and is racing second off a seven week freshening. Trainer Rick Violette drops him down a bit and this 3-year-old worked a bullet half-mile on this surface April 9th.
4th pick: #2 (Moonlight Party) (4-1) - Colt has finished second in three of his five starts each at a different track. Speed/stalker has been on the sidelines since early Feb and is dropping down to a new low in claiming price. A threat with his best.
