Top pick: #2 (WOODFORD PINE) (3-1) - Colt has been freshened up since rallying to finish second at this level going 6-furlongs Feb 14. A useful debut, he's working nicely and trainer Chad Brown (33% second time out) stretches him out to a mile.
2nd pick: #7 (Overawe) (4-1) - He's also from the barn of Chad Brown and is racing for the first time since Jan 19. $235K colt stumbled at the break that day causing his rider to lose his irons. He had finished second in his previous start and runs today with blinkers on and Castellano back aboard.
3rd pick: #1 (Apollo Eleven) (7-2) - Blinkers go on this speed/stalker in his 2nd back from a 2 1/2 month layoff. $250K son of 'Medaglia d'Oro' has had trouble at the start in all three appearances and can factor with an alert beginning.
4th pick: #8 (Beyond the Green) (4-1) - Since checking in fourth when debuting in late October at Belmont, this one-run type has gone 5-0-3-2. In shape, he draws a nice outside post at this one-turn mile and must be left in the mix.
